Venus Freaks stands for openminded happenings we can
best describe as menfriendly women parties that are refreshing,
funny and sexy. We break down existing barriers between the
various scenes within the lesbian community. We want everybody
to feel at home when attending a Venus Freaks party: gay, bisexual
and gay-minded people, women and men alike. We want to provide
an ambience where women can party among themselves and still
bring their male friends.
Venus Freaks started when Lot and Mo organized their first party
at Volta in Amsterdam in June 2002. We felt the need for new
initiatives in the gay scene of Amsterdam, especially the women
scene since there wasn't happening much. The first Venus Freaks
party was an instant success. The second party we had to close
the door at 11:30 pm, the place was packed! From then on we
were partying at Volta on every 1st Friday of the month. Unfortunately
we had to stop on this location, the last Volta party was in
July 2003. We still miss it!!!
In Octobre 2002 we started Venus Freaks Deluxe in Club La Amsterdam.
Club La is a wonderful club in the center of town that radiated
exactly the atmosphere we were looking for to continue uplifting
gay life for women. For ten months this luxurious club night
was every 3rd Friday of the month loaded with beautiful girls!
In May 2003 we hooked up with the notorious Divine! and
our cooperation has lead to Marsmasters vs Venus Freaks. This
mix party was held every 4th Wednesday in the most hidden location
of Amsterdam, the 020 Boven.
August 1st 2003 Gay Pride Amsterdam kicked off with our Proud
to be a Venus Freak party at the Catacomb Studio. Check the

These days Venus Freaks organizes two monthly parties on every
1st and 3rd Saturday. Check for dates and details Next

Inspired by your enthusiasm we are planning to organize more
and more Venus Freaks venues on various locations and occasions
and we'll continue to do so in the future.
